Rainbow Bird Storytelling with Simon from Stone Soup
Science Week 4th - 8th July
On Monday we started the Science week off with an assembly from a STEM ambassador, Mr Stuart Patrick, who talked about Science connections and why sharing Science matters. At lunchtime on Monday and Tuesday, groups of children ran science experiments for the rest of the school to try out. On Wednesday we took 8 pupils to the Great Science Share at the Manchester Town Hall. The children chose their own experiment to take which they shared with other schools from Greater Manchester and Science VIPs including Lord Mayor of Manchester. Starchasers visited us on Thursday bringing a 9m Skybolt rocket, they ran a whole school assembly, workshops with Year 5 and 3 and a rocket launch. We announced the winners for the Unusual Plant Container Competition in assembly on Friday with the plants being used to further our School Garden. To finish our Science Week, we had a Whole School Science Share with groups of children running science experiments in the hall and the rest of the school came to experience them.
